It sounds like he's getting tons of support that's helping him thrive.

My husband is dyslexic and an engineer too (not aerospace, but I imagine the math he does is just as messy). I saved every e-mail he ever sent me from the first year we dated -- your "sweat hart" brought back memories. I agree, the brain is a pretty fascinating thing in how it works and sometimes does not but compensates. This Ro(a)mantic Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09324882155203905958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-220995767842596634.post-59777449128445481762011-05-25T10:57:04.672-07:002011-05-25T10:57:04.672-07:00Wow, sounds like a lot of hard work but a great ye...Wow, sounds like a lot of hard work but a great year as a result. I still write the word "...Hooray for The Boy!

I still write the word "because" as "becuase" all the damn time. And when I see the word "fatigue" I ALWAYS hear it in my head as fat-a-goo. And I'm all, "What the f**k is fat-a-goo?" And then I go "Oh yeah." and move on.

This post is definitely herky-worthy.The Thirty-Something Bridehttp://thethirtysomethingbride.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-220995767842596634.post-22021848883605319622011-05-25T01:11:51.448-07:002011-05-25T01:11:51.448-07:00It's really good to hear that your son has mad...It's really good to hear that your son has made such great progress this year and that the split class he was in actually benefited him. I worry about eldest's schooling, as he has a LOT of the same problems my hubby has -- ADHD, seizures and speech delay -- but he hasn't shown dyslexic symptoms yet. (Hubby is dyslexic, so I'm waiting for that.) Anyway, he's a smart kid. It's just that he has a really hard time talking, unless it's about something he's particularly passionate about. (Right now, it's Star Wars.)

Anyway - I'm not trying to make this about me. I'm just saying that I feel your pain. It's really hard, but I'm glad that you're getting help for your boy and that it seems to be going really well. Hugs and huzzahs for you!Fie upon this quiet life!https://www.blogger.com/profile/12047096700049201873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-220995767842596634.post-37027960768326587872011-05-24T14:50:54.944-07:002011-05-24T14:50:54.944-07:00*squeeeeeeeeeeeee*

Without his lovely teacher who appreciates his weird little brain I have no idea what we've have done this year. Here's hoping both sons get the teachers they need next year!feMOMhisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17192104351023271207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-220995767842596634.post-90670439316031675032011-05-24T11:42:42.833-07:002011-05-24T11:42:42.833-07:00That's such good news, GEW.
