Whee! What kinds of props will they be carrying with them this year?

I'm reusing the dragonfly costume (no time to invent something new). The eyes took enough effort to make that it'll be worth it! :)

May the evening be magical for the kiddos and entertaining for the adults.

Geologist? What does that look like? That's funny! We had the Cat in the Hat and Wow Wow Wubzy. After I made a (really sad) Super Why costume and then he changed his mind, that is.

The Boy has rocks in his head! Awesome!

CT - A dragonfly costume? Yowzers. I can't imagine making one of those. You get a *herky* for sheer effort.

CT, The girl's witch dress was espcially nice because it had a bit of a Renaissance vibe to it. She had a bit hat and a broom, but didn't carry the broom trick-or-treating. And I love your dragonfly costume! It's definitely worthy of a two-year run!

Steel, The Boy wore khaki pants and had a khaki hat. He had a cardboard "sign" around his neck with Mohs' Scale of Hardness. He had a hand lens hanging from a lanyard, a nice clear bag of rocks hanging from his belt, and a cardboard pick hammer stuck in his belt. Voila!

LKL, If the Boy doesn't turn out to be a scientist or science teacher, I'll be quite surprised.

That was supposed to say "big hat." Not "bit hat."

Aww, thanks, jc! I am totally honored. No one's ever given me a herky before :)

The costume was actually not that elaborate. Just a pair of compound eyes (that's where most of the effort went) and some store-bought wings. But it was fun to pull it all together.
