So, with 35 minutes to spare, I can say that I read an article this week and made some (brief) notes. The article is recent and directly relevant to my work--so relevant, in fact, that I was worried it would cause problems for me. But I think the article will be helpful. The author tackles an issue that I will address, but I think my "end game" is different from hers. Therefore, I can rely on her work to some degree, but then I can extend her argument or take it in a slightly different direction to achieve slightly different ends. I hope I can articulate the distinctions clearly enough that they don't seem *too* slight.
The article was good, but I think her argument could have been more unified. But she left me in the dust when she came to the philosophical bits. I have So. Much. To Learn.

I too used to panic when I saw a title evocative of my project, but then I came to realize it redounds to your benefit.
Yay!!! Good for you, meeting that first deadline. It's all about getting into the groove, no? Once it's part of your routine, it gets easier.
I'm cocking an eye at my word verification, which is "nocksup." It has no relevance in this moment, but it did make me look twice. I have the attention span of a three-year-old.
If you have so much to learn, than I am worried for the rest of us. Very. Very. Worried.
feMOM, That's what I'm hoping for!
CT, I didn't meet last week's deadline. Maybe I can double up this week? oh, yes. I know all about "nocksup." Not now, but before.
TSB, Well, the rest of you don't really need to know much about c18 England, so you're all good! In fact, I'm sure the rest of you know way more about truly important stuff than I do. So keep calm and carry on! And contests on the great work, Cousin!
Eh, I say given the sick kiddos, doubling up might or might not be worth it. I imagine restocking one's reserve for sticking with the program is as important as the volume of work to be done. If it were me, I'd just hop back on the habit and aim for one article. Don't let that deter you if you *are* feeling super-motivated though.
(For context, this is my exhausted page-generating brain talking after February/March. I tried doubling up on pages on the days I didn't get one -- the goal -- written. That just made me anxious in the end.)
