Meet Tiki

Isn't she cute? These are early pictures. She's grown quite a bit since these were taken. Getting a little fat, to tell the truth. Gotta reduce her cricket intake.

You can see in the last pictures that she's molting around her head. Looks like she has a bad perm job.

Hi Tiki! My kids love you! :)

What kind of personality does she have? Didn't you say when you first got her that she was sort of puppylike?

TKW, I know! I guess it could be the greens. Cows get pretty fat on greens.

Ink, Tiki says she loves your kids back! And, yes, she is a bit puppylike. She perks up when she sees us. Today, after she ate her greens and a few crickets, she stood looking out the front window of her cage, begging for more. And at night, when we turn out her lights, she crawls down off of her rocks, sticks her head somewhere that feels hidden, curls her tail around her, lays her chin down, and closes her eyes.

And she LOVES dandelion flowers. Nasturtiums, too. Goes crazy if she sees dandelions in our hands. We can hand feed her. She never bites or anything. She often looks very quizzical. She tilts her head sideways a lot, just like a dog does when it hears a funny noise. Maybe I can make a video sometime! Tikivision!

How cute! She sounds absolutely adorable and very personable. Monkey took one look and said, "AWESOME!" ;)

Okay. I need to know if that is in your HOUSE. Please tell me that these are shots of you leaving a zoo. Otherwise, I can't decide if you're the coolest mom I know or if this means i can't ever come over. (Did I mention that I have a tiny little ooked out fear of lizardysnakey things?)

No zoo! Tiki has a happy spot in the kids' room. And while I, too, get heebie-jeebies from snakes, I gotta admit that I like the Tikster. Sometimes she sits on me while I fold laundry, or if I get a chance to sit out in the sun, she sits on me and basks.

The boy would have preferred a snake, I think, but I'm just not down with that.

I forgot to mention that although she actually lives in the kids' room here in California, SHE thinks she lives in Utah (because of her decorative background), so please don't spill the beans.
