Let's see, where was I?

The dissertation has been ignored for several months.

So, I am now dusting off my notebook, settling in with Factual Fictions: The Origins of the Novel by Lennard J. Davis (a bit outdated, but still helpful), and I will go from there.

I hope to get a lot of reading done and write 15-20 pages in the next two weeks (despite having to arrange for the Girl's birthday activities and prepare for a family trip to Hawaii).

Wait. Who's laughing? I hear someone laughing. I think it's jc . . .

You can do it!

I mean: YOU CAN DO IT! REALLY! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

Rainbows and chee to you!

(But seriously...you can write 20 pages in one night with the "all-nighter" approach!)

Ink, I had forgotten about the all-nighter approach. But I'm not sure my 41-year-old self can pull those off.

Maybe a few really *late* nights can add up to one all-nighter?

Now, I just have to figure out what the poop I'm going to write . . .

I once spent 12 straight hours attempting to write a section of my dissertation that would, if you only read the first letters of each new line vertically, say obscene things...maybe you could pull it off?!?

God... I have PTSD from some of those dissertation all nighters. Good luck to you! Just think -- you will be so glad when it's all done! Let that serious relief be a motivation to you!

Cheering from the sidelines, GEW! My thesis cheers for you too. It likes knowing *somebody* is taking up the call to write ... ;)
