Meet Snowball

Yes, the newest member of our menagerie is an actual, warm-blooded mammal! And one of the cutest ever, in fact. Also, she seems to have figured out her familial duties, which are to give love and snuggles to the Girl.

And then there is this picture taken by the Girl (who is getting a camera--in addition to this kitten--for her birthday):

Gotta go now. I have a kitten in my lap, and it's time for Buffy, port, and chocolate.

Oh, how I love summer break. Let me count the ways . . .

Oh my goodness! I need a Snowball in my life...

Turns out the new love object did indeed cause me worries...and is no longer my love object. Must finish thesis on own, must finish thesis on own, must finish thesis on own. ; )

Welcome, Snowball! Those are very special familial duties, you know. You are one lucky kitty :)

Sooo cute! The one picture of Snowball and the girl in bed remind me of my childhood cat who used to sleep on my head. What a great birthday present!

Ink, I have tried to explain to the Girl that cats don't travel well. The Girl wants to take her everywhere. So, if she gets her wish, Snowball might be with us on our next roadtrip, and we can bring her for a visit!

Gaga, Isn't the picture great? Why isn't it blurry? She's got talent.

AH, Oh, yes. I think a Snowball might be just the ticket for helping you finish your thesis AND for helping you get over the most recent love object. So sorry about those worries.

CT, Isn't she?

EA, I know! My mom has a very similar picture of me with a cat sleeping by my head--a cat that was also white with gray on it's head. So cute, indeed!

Heu, Yes, yes, and yes!

TKW, I couldn't agree more. And BTW, hang in there over Chez Kitch.

Squaddie, Squeeee! Chee!

MW, This is the first time I've been around a kitten in about 21 years. I can't believe it's been so long. TOO long. I'm so pleased that the Girl is getting a chance at kitten love. And I'm so glad the kitten is such a good one, such a little love bug. But you're going to have some other little creatures along soon that will put kittens at the back of your mind, I'm sure.

Kitten love is the best. I'm happy you have one now. Does The Dog try to eat it or are they friendly? I'm getting worried about Less Kitty. She's drinking LOTS of water and you know what that means.....
I think it's time for a vet visit.

I think The Girl used the SAF/Macro function - it allows for close-ups with no blur. I'm sure she knows this.

P.S. My word verification is BLING. Like it.

Gorgeous. Felt my BP drop just looking at those pics!

We got a new 8-week old kitten just 2 weeks ago. She has more than the usual number of loose kitten screws. I think she may be a bit crazy. She has kept us on our toes, and decided to take on the resident alpha cat, a street-wise rescue we've had a year. Kitten is winning, every time.

Squeeeeee!!!! Not that I hope Girl defies you or anything, but we would love to have a kittycat over. ;)

Is that true that cats don't like to travel? Didn't know that. Our dogs always just lie down and go to sleep.

I may actually be a cat. It would explain a lot.

TSB, Awww, Less Kitty. Yes, I know all too well about the water drinking. I'll be sending healthy kidney vibes.

jc, Snorgle, indeed!

LKL, Sounds like one tough kitty!

Ink, Oh, I guess you never drove from Indiana to NC with a cat in your car? No? Well, let's just say it involves a lot of yowling. 10-hours of yowling, in fact--and that's *despite* the sedative.
