Camping
Back from camping. It's been SO long since I've camped, and it was so beautiful and fantastic to watch the kids play and get dirty and have such a fabulous time. I want to live in a yurt.

I would visit you in your yurt! In theory, I'd like to live in a yurt, too. But I know I'd miss my .... well, everything.
You are a cool mom, no question. D grew up doing Boy Scout stuff, so he's comfortable camping, but I need a proper shower facility in order not to become a cranky wench on vacation. I've promised that taking the (future) kids on hikes, bikes, cookouts, and other outdoor adventures is totally in the plan, but could we please do it where there's at least a Super 8 we can crash in at the end of the day?
Perhaps I should clarify. We only went camping for one night, and it's wasn't far from home.
But I do like camping. As for the yurt, well, perhaps a yurt as a "second home" would be better than living in one all the time. I, too, like running hot water. But if we rigged up a solar water heater? I'm all in!

Dear God, how do you do it? The closest I ever want to get to camping is the Sheraton.
My kids so wish they had a cool "camping" mom. Alas, they got lame "indoor" mom who cannot function without a latte in the morning.

Sigh ...

That sounds like so much fun! You are the cool outdoor mom!
